Private-pay policy
Valley Mental Health and Wellness is a private-pay practice and does not participate in insurance programs at this time. The practice does not bill insurance companies directly or accept insurance payments.
Patients may independently seek reimbursement from their insurance plan, Health Savings Plan, or other community resources. All fees are paid directly by cash, checks, or select cash apps.
First appointments
To provide the best experience, all first-time appointments are scheduled in person.
Ongoing monitoring
Quality psychiatric care requires regular monitoring and contact. In-person appointments are required at least every four months if the treatment plan includes noncontrolled prescription medications, or at least every three months if the treatment plan includes controlled prescription medications.
Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
Emergency policy
Valley Mental Health and Wellness is unable to provide emergency services. There is no dedicated emergency telephone line, and the practice does not guarantee that phone calls will be answered or returned before 8 AM, after 8 PM, or on weekends and holidays.
The practice does not have admitting or treating privileges at any hospitals. If a psychiatric emergency arises — including but not limited to an allergic reaction to medication, suicidal thoughts with a plan to act, a suicide attempt, or homicidal ideation — clients or their family/support group must immediately call 911 or seek treatment at the local hospital emergency department.
Clients may also contact a local crisis office for assistance. A list of local crisis numbers is available on this website and is provided at the initial appointment.
